After Effects - Responsive Text Tool
Add responsive text to your After Effects projects. Very useful when you are building templates or have to do localization's for your videos. You don't have to adjust your layouts anymore. Your copy will always fit.
How it works:
It isn't a plugin, just an AE file with three layers you can import into your projects.
Text size guide - This is just a shape layer to help you visualize the text area. You can delete this layer if you don't need it, but I would recommend to just hide it.
Responsive text - This is your responsive text layer. Change your text here. All the settings to format the text area can be accessed through the Effects control panel of this layer.
Text animators - Unfortunately the Responsive text layer doesn't support text animators. This is because the scale of the text is based on it's bounding box. The Text animators layer is a second text layer linked to the Responsive text layer. Here you can add animators without a problem. Make sure your text and paragraph properties are the same as the Responsive text layer. If you're not using animators in your project you can delete this layer.
Responsive text options:
- On-Off switch
- Max width and max height
- Anchor point position(The position from which your copy will scale)
- Position
- Margin
